The data published by the Institute for Supply Management（ISM）on Feb 1, 2011 shows that PMI of American manufacturing industry in Jan is 60.8%, up 2.3% compared with December, 2010. It indicates that American manufacturing industry has been expanding since 18 months ago. However, among the 18 manufacturing industries, rubber, plastic and textile are in the construction.
ISM thinks that the expansion of American manufacturing industry is getting fast. PMI of manufacturing industry this month has reached a new high record since May, 2004. Index of other sectors also grows strongly.
